Morgoth, Kos, Ein Rugel, Reu and Commis visit the Shady Tavern Inn for work. While they are discussing jobs with Dante, Morosey comes running in screaming that his cart was raided while he was answering the call of nature. The Kobolds who raided the cart stole Morosey's small golden performance statues. Morosey insisted the group help him and offered to double the gold prize for each statue they returned to him. He directed the party to a large hole near the river that he saw the Kobolds enter before returning to the tavern. The group tied their ropes to a nearby tree and braved the unknown, finding themselves in a watery chamber with platforms to either side. They access the platforms easily with their rope and began searching the strange underground location. The first thing they came across was a gathering of Kobolds, their leader preaching on an alter with one of the Statues. Our heroes were unable to charge in due to dangerous Brown Mold and the encounter was drawn out. Ein Roguel used a hero point to reroll a save against the Kobold leader but failed. They eventually discovered they could remove the mold with cold and dispatched the Kobolds. After clearing out the entrance and collecting the first statue, Reu could no longer go on and left the way they originally came. The rest of the party proceeded down the hallway to the right and found themselves in a tower with another platform above them. The tower walls were climbable and the party, being out of rope, attempted to scale the wall. Kos met his nemesis in the wall, receiving more damage from falling than he did from the rest of the mission. The rest of the group got up the wall only to be ambushed by a couple of River Drakes. Morgoth used a Hero Point for a heroic blinding shot on one of the drakes and succeeded. Both Ein Rugel and Commis had to use Hero Points for reflex saves to avoid falling to their deaths. Commis, after being out of the fight for a while, rejoined epically via running jump and climbing on the last drake and beating it with his pepper mill. After the battle Ein summoned an Eagle to retrieve a statue from the bottom of a spiked pit and then the group decided to camp for the night where Commis cooked up some delicious river drake etouffee for dinner.
The next day, the party ventured forth, this time through the tower and not climbing it. They came to a room with levers across from a room with a sleeping Young Sea Dragon. Korgoth tried to coup de gras the dragon but was unable to fire her deadly shot and later learned it was due to a Sanctuary spell. About that time, Commis decided to try a lever in the room above, raising the water level of the dungeon and waking the dragon. The Sea Dragon knew that Morgoth had attempted to kill him. Morgoth explained that they were attacked multiple times in the dungeon and did not know that there were non-evil dragons until Ein informed him. When the dragon learned that the group had killed and eaten one of his guardians, he gave them the opportunity to offer him a tithe. If they offered him enough, he would let them leave with their lives. If they pleased him, he would let them continue to search for their statues. However, the dragon liked his new charm and would not give up his statue. Kos offered to be the dragons guardian in place of the ones they killed but retracted when he learned he would have to stay in the dungeon permanently. Ein Roguel offered the dragon 800gp which he accepted to allow Ein to continue. Morgoth, having been the one to attempt killing the dragon, sacrificed her Pearl of Power (2nd), a worthy offering for the dragon and he allowed them all to proceed. The final room they explored held a statue in a large resivour of water. Ein summoned a pair of dolphins in the water to retrieve the statue but they were promptly chomped by a couple of Crocodiles. Our heroes fought the crocodiles that came after them on land while Ein summoned an Ethereal elemental to telekinesis the statue out of the water. The elemental failed and one of the crocs ate the statue because he saw it moving. They finished off the crocodiles and retrieved a 3rd statue but decided to quit searching there.
The Adventurers left the dungeon the way they came and returned to the Shady Tavern. They gave the statues they found to Morosey who was displeased they did not locate them all. Dante awarded Morgoth an extra Shady Tavern Mark for sacraficing her Pearl for the group.
