Down a twisting back alley in the seedy underbelly of Dweomerstar, a lone, ramshackle building sits in an abandoned square, crumbling in upon itself. Referred to by locals simply as 'the Soap Factory' (and indeed, its proprietor does sell an absolutely wonderful example of the stuff), the strange smells and sounds (screams, were those... screams? Or just the wind whistling through its empty window frames...?) that hang heavy in the air around it lead few to actually venture to its door, unless no other option remains. For those poor souls gravely wounded, or sick to the point of death, this decrepit place represents the last faint light of hope when no other options remain. Jaren Yor, the creature (for calling him a man is disingenuous, as men have souls) that claims this hovel as home, prides himself a chirurgeon and scholar of the mortal condition, and is quick with quinine or lancet when such measures will do. And quicker still, with the knife. His care may be cruel, with little thought to such novel concepts as 'pain thresholds' and 'anesthetics', but those that survive his ministrations are certainly the better for it. For when all other options are exhausted, where else would one turn? bladeandbow.boards.net/thread/541/jaren-yor

Tavi, Ravanda, Ozarrik, the Jukeborn, and Matharie were gathered in an inn a few nights after another intrepid group of heroes decided to bring the body of a dead necromancer inside the walls of the city without checking it. When the magical rune tattooed on his body flared with power and brought him back to unlife, it was all he could do to slaughter his way out of the morgue within which he found himself. His power to create augmented zombies with his foul new form proved quite the challenge for the (massacred) city guard, but with the timely arrival of our heroes (after hearing the screams of Ozarrik's constituents) the day was saved and the foul necromancer driven off... for now.

Brandt, Evanis, McKnight, Ruff, and Serii helped the City Guard investigate a rash of mutilated animals in the Churlwood, just south of Dweomerstar. After 'saving' a few dead woodland critters from a dark fate, a number of others attacked them during the night. As zombies! Following their tracks back to the source, our intrepid heroes discovered their commander... a Necromancer and the animated zombies he commanded. Evil defeated, our victorious team returned to town to much accolades, Guardswoman winks, and beer at the local tavern.

So how does this whole process work?
Do I just... go "Heyyyyy so I wanna do this" and give it a crack? Or..?
Also what are GM awards? I'm so confused.
