The party was urgently summoned by Keioptra to deal with a raid on Edfu, one of the towns she claims sovereignty over. As there was little time to act, Keioptra encased the party in a giant diamond and catapulted the party directly into the enemy group, crushing a fire giant in the process. After discovering that a twisted cult of Sekhmet was going around collecting sacrifices, the team tracked them down into the Sands of Despair. The party managed to lay waste to the Sekhmet priestess and the noble salamander leading the cult. After finding a hidden passage into a pocket plane, the party encountered some sort of incredibly powerful catfolk mummy lord, who killed Garduk with a finger of death spell. Luckily, Keioptra sensed the danger and projected herself into the fight to aid the party. Keioptra revived Gar'duk and removed the mummy from the battle, and the party was able to swiftly dismember the hideous creature that was guarding the mummy.
The party learned that Keioptra is actually only half of a single being, a partial aspect of the long dormant goddess Bastet. It seems that there are two powers seeking out Keioptra's other half; the cult of Apep and an ancient blue dragon named Orgodemir. What they intend to do with Keioptra's other half is still a mystery.
