Metzofitz woke up feeling generous. Summoning Concordia, Fetch, Sieh, and Shyro to his demiplane, he offered each a favor within his power to grant, to repay them for similar favors and boons from the past. Each voiced their desires, and the group chose to pursue Concordia's first: finding out what happened to her parents.
Drowned, they were, when Concordia was very young, above an upwelling of the River Styx. Their souls claimed by Charon in a long game, an investment, a bet: to trade two common, near worthless souls for one of great power and prestige, and fill an empty spot within his collection. A place where a powerful paladin would sit.
Much magic was done, bones gathered, daemon attacks subverted by quickness of action, but Charon still got his trade. The Mirror King's soul for that of Concordia's parents. They were then resurrected back to life, and spent several days weeping in both joy and sadness at now being only 6 and 7 years older than their daughter.
All players earn 50k XP, 35k GP, and 5 downtime days, with an additional 15,500 GP for Hero point users.
