The party was hired by Keioptra to retrieve her stolen artifact, a Ball of Infinite Twine. She failed to mention that it was actually the Ball of Infinite Discord, which could corrupt anyone who used it's power for too long, turning them into a demon. The culprit, pirate legend Captain Kitt, managed to make it nearly a week without becoming corrupted, only to finally succumb when the party was unable to convince him to give up the artifact. The party managed to vanquish the corrupted demon that Captain Kitt turned into, but the artifact disintegrated and Captain Kitt perished. Still, they killed some things and got paid, so who cares?
