I was thinking about Serii and was wondering what I could do to spice up her game play for me as a player. Seeing as the last character I made that was solely about combat and the resulting shenanigans just made me quit the character I am much more inclined to believe this combat Nerfed character will be much more fun to play. I've already purchased influence through tithe enough to become a Marquess when I have 20 rooms/teams and every session she is a part of she earns influence via rooms and hired help so, I expect over the course of the next 7 levels she will have 400 Influence to spend to become a duchess. That said I want to do more with her than just hit 20 and have a University that amounts to just fluff and a thing to use for DMs if they want the party to do some research or something.
I want to become a part of Dweomostar's Leadership roles if it will not get in the way of my truer grand design which is:
I want to start my own colony/city per the rules of nobility.
The biggest part that stands as a deterrent to this is the fact that it is time consuming and there is so many leadership roles available which should be filled. To best effectively go through this I was first thinking I'll just have a bunch of NPC's fill the slots so i don't have to have everyone and their mom present when I go through these sessions, just go through the motions and when I reach every third session just roll out the necessary rolls on someone's table. It seemed legit but I couldn't find any stats of NPCs. My next thought then was hey I'll just post out I'm starting a kingdom looking for people to fill positions in discord when the thought finally embraced me, they have to present for all the rolls and do their part which just discouraged me with the headache that would cause. which brought me back to hey I already NPC'd one character why the hell not just make a bunch of characters and NPC them so I can use them in my kingdom builder. Sure that could work but it would be 1 Level 13-20 Serii and a bunch of nobody cares level 1's with at best a +5 to roles but absolutely no point in being there if I was attacked by whatever like for example bandits equal to ruler's CR yeah 10 levels 1's vs a level 20 will do me great justice. Finally the thought occurred to me that I have the ability to use "Prebuilt NPC's" as rulers I would just have slim pickings to choose from because Alignment differences but, if I did pick from pre-built NPC's who would contribute nothing but roles (+ to specifc rolls) and be used to fight in battles should the kingdom get attacked I would have to be choosing NPC's that are at least lower CR than myself. In that regard Serii is level 13 so a CR of 12, my thought is I would only pick NPC's who have a CR of 10 or less basically 2 CR less than Serii who will clearly be the ruler despite having a higher intelligence than Charisma.
That said I wanted to ensure First: that when I first created the settlement I would be trading 1,000 GP to 1 BP per the "starting from scratch"
Second: Whats the point in spending all this money, is it for fluff or is it that every building that creates a magic item and anything else created I can take and sell for personal gain in addition to withdrawing BP for personal use causing a rise in Unrest.
In either event I'd like to hear some feedback about what is best to do for this especially since this is basically a game within a game and others may not have the time to devote towards it so it may just be worth to have all the work done by myself just being policed by rolling in front of others for each of the phases/events. (I think the best result would be rolling out all the phases/events when there is another DM just waiting around doing whatever it is that the do while just waiting)
Last thing that may belong in another post is I was thinking about marriage with Serii seeing as that could aid the kingdom building if ever so slightly. I'd like some suggestions as to what could from my thoughts were to another PC but that could get messy and the second thought was to an NPC of equal station to that of Serii when this occurred weather it be to a noble of Ar'vahl or a noble of a fellow country to help bring diplomatic harmony.
