Cameron, Zee, Joe, Sally and Krilef where hired by the Speedwagon Foundation to support Fort Briggs, a military base in the far north of a distant country.
Since the law prevented the Speedwagon Foundation from providing direct teleportation even close to the country border the party consisting of Cameron, Zee, Joe and Sally where send to an outpost of the Speedwagon Foundation which was a 3 day march away from the fort.
After leaving the outpost the adventures where confronted by the harsh cold weather and Cameron almost froze to death until they reached a cave where they set up camp for the night.
There they were attacked by Wikkawaks in the middle of the night.
The next days of travel where less eventful, but as they where getting close to their destination the weather worsened and it became hard to see.
That was when Cameron spotted what he thought was a bear and everyone readied themselves. But to their surprise it was a human in a military uniform and after some mild fighting they realized that they had arrived.
After getting patched up in the infirmary and meeting Krilef, who had been send by the Speedwagon Foundation to inform Briggs about the imminent attack, they were offered a tour of the facility.
During the tour the ground shook and a large humanoid creature crawled out of a tunnel inside the fort. Not wasting any time they all sprang into action. As Zee managed to knock the creature out, Cameron stabbed into the creature’s chest and pulled out a glowing red stone as the creature disintegrated. Cameron of course did the only reasonable thing and absorbed the stone into his liquid like body.
For two weeks the party lived in worked with the other solders in the fort.
One morning as they were eating the alarm started and the adventures rushed to the top of the fort, from they saw an horrifying army of the dead alongside black bird like creature that attacked them.
After retreating back into the fort they were ordered to check what was taking so long to ready the tanks only to find the mechanics and solders dead, killed by more skeletons that entered the fort the same way the monster did two weeks earlier.
After clearing out the enemies inside the fort the adventures followed the tunnel that was used to attack them.
In there they faced more undead creature who faked their death which frightened Zee and Joe so much they ran away and let most of the fight to Cameron and Sally.
As they exited the tunnel they were greeted by a hastily put up defensive structure on top of a hill and in the distance Brigs as hordes of skeletons clashed against its walls.
What seemed like the commanders of the army where not happy with the adventures trying to interrupt their planes and defended the magic that was keeping the army moving with everything they had.
But thanks to the combination of the adventures ability they were able to take them out and stop the thread to Brigs and Amestris as a whole, for now.
Krilef receives the following rewards:
