Aye, I am Scion <insert random thing i put at the time> on the discord. I've finally gotten around to trying to GM for a couple reasons, including ease the lack of games being run in some small part.

bladeandbow.boards.net/thread/4222/bring-laser-gun-knife-fightThis was a very enjoyable game. It was a little rocky starting out, Scion had prepped mainly for melee combatants and was thrown when everyone turned out to be primarily ranged. However, he rolled with the punches and altered the game on the fly to compensate. And in my opinion, he did very well at that. The enemies were clever and there were interesting traps (even if we did subvert most of them) and the fact that bandits ran away made them feel like actual people who had just watched their friends get eviscerated rather than robots with an "attack" command. Same with the smug necromancer. Scion's weak point is NPC interaction, but he knows that and is working on it. Overall, pass from me.

bladeandbow.boards.net/thread/4222/bring-laser-gun-knife-fightDecision: Pass His knowledge of the rules was fine. The first encounter was a bit to easy but he adjusted the rest of the game and the difficulty felt fine after that. His ruling felt generous but not to the point where he gave huge advantages to the players. Bad decisions on the part of the players was meet by an suitable response (the casters getting targeted when possible but not to the point where they died).
