A very basic story suiting low level characters with a surprise twist second encounter, a very solid grasp on combat mechanics, a well balanced combat encounter (if perhaps slightly underpowered for the number of players) the extra time given to led us to both a few good roleplay moments and a bit of freedom in our strategy which is excellent for the low levels.
A solid pass for a solid session.

bladeandbow.boards.net/thread/5273/strongest-heavens-day-1Overall, A Solid pass. The thought and effort put into the story was wonderfully refreshing, as well as wonderfully done. I *Thoroughly* enjoyed the individual snippets i got with Ears of the city. The various skill checks were open for the party to try their hand at what they were good at, without making them, especially something the party did not have, 100% necessary for the story to progress. The first combat encounter was... passable, if underwhelming. Nothing was wrong per say, but between it ending fairly fast and the enemies being 100% martial it fell flat for this bracket. not a point for you, but not against either. The second combat encounter however was wonderfully played, and appropriately dangerous. Just how i like my 8-11s.

bladeandbow.boards.net/thread/5450/ropeWeird pass. It was a refreshingly different game with more RP and experimentation which is always fun and something good. THere was not much combat or mechanics I could evaluate but I know she knows those and also showed it on the small scale in the game...
