The Mission was a Total Success. We used outside agents as you directed, and they retrieved the plans with less trouble than expected. Apparently they handily defeated that Gnome who was Keeping the Gate, but he is a slippery one. His eight-legged friends not so much. They found some secret door the first team missed and survived the automated defenses. Something pretty rough must have happened in there. One of them, the Orc (who was clearly of the *purest* of Orc stock), looked like he aged almost a decade. (Of course, he is so ugly who can really tell?) The great news is: Ulrich is dead! Now that he is out of there, the next team can sweep in easier. I have passed along the retrieved Plans and tied up loose ends, I will keep these agents around for the retrieving the Projector, then have them sent to the GraveYard.
I have also received word from certain sources, the obstinate half-orc apparently went back in there *alone*! Evidently he came back out of the laboratory waving a pair of shoes and yelling how "The Universe *owed* him these shoes". We are looking into this, but our dear Leonardo is not sure what shoes are today.
