Magnimar's Scarlet Sun

Kyomi, Relmanthia, Karlson, Relmanthia, and Evets were contracted to catch a serial killer in Magnimar. After laying a cunning ambush that almost got Kyomi killed, they chased the culprit, a half-elven Shax cultist, across the town to her lair, an abandoned catacomb that had been converted into a temple to Shax. After almost killing her, they rescued a prisoner, who was actually the cultist's succubus mistress in disguise. The succubus shanked Kyomi in the rear, proving that the cultist had in fact learned her tricks from something, and proceeded to flub no fewer than three spells in a row, whilst being beat up on the entire time. Kyomi's divine luck saved the rest of the party from a likely death-by-Evets, and the succubus fled to parts unknown to plot her vengeance.
